It's (just) December here in the UK, and so I think it's about time I responded to The Descendant's call for people to consider adding a Santa hat to their Fimf avatars. Think about joining in if you like! It's fun, it's silly and... actually, those two are enough, surely? 
So years and years ago, in the ancient times when Fimfiction was new, The Descendant started the tradition of adding Santa hats to icons. It was mainly done to confuse Knighty, and now is just good fun. While The Descendant is no longer on Fimfiction, the tradition lives on 
So I loaded up Photoshop and added a Santa hat to my avatar. Don't expect anything more festive than that...
Deal with it.
I'm going to be spending Christmas and New Years at my uncle's house, in Tacoma WA, so that's gonna be fun.

So, you're likely looking at my avatar and thinking, "This is wildly out of character. A Mandalorian would never wear a Santa hat!"

The Descendant may be MiA, but that doesn't mean we can't keep the Fimfic Christmas Tradition going. For those who don't know or are confused as to why people's avatars have Santa hats on, it's been a tradition that was jumpstarted way back in 2012 to adorn your avatar with a festive hat for the holidays to help get the site in the holiday spirit.
Now that Thanksgiving is over in the US, I can finally stop cringing when I hear Christmas songs being played everywhere (Y’know, I never hear them play Hanukkah songs…). So with the Christmas spirit finally flowing through my veins, it’s that time again.
Time to spread some good cheer...

Look, 2020 has SUCKED for most people. That being said, I think it's high time we start spreading holiday cheer a little early this year!
If you would like, why don't we all have some good old jinglemas fun by popping a cute little Santa hat on our avatars? It's quite simple to do and it adds a bit of color and festive-ness to our accounts!
You know who else loves hot chocolate? Fluttershy does, and especially with marshmallows!
